Taman Negara covers an area of more than 1 million acres. It has some parts belonging to Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang. The government does not allow commercial logging in this area and as a result, you will find green rain forest areas in the area as it is well protected by the government. The park is also located at the highest cement peak, Mount Tahan, located at 2187 m above sea level.
